Hmm.. I really have no idea of what to be written here..  Let me think… Hmmm…

Okay,,,I think I just wanna share the stuffs that I like to do lately and make me feel just fine..hehe.. Yup.. life’s getting flat lately,,, A bit cheers here and there thinking about someone that I know will never be with me..  However, thinking about him can make me smile and feel happy,,yeah,, whatever…

So, what are the stuffs??

• I simply like to listen to the radio before getting to sleep

• I simply enjoy the feel of being a student again by reading lotsa paperworks and process engineering thingy.. Seruu juga mengerutkan dahi  untuk memahami sistem yg gw masih awaaam banget..hehe

• I simply enjoy eating Happytos while I’m reading..It was my BIG NO NO before!! Not because I was in diet, but it was just because I hate my hands getting dirty as the result of picking out the chips..

• I’m deeply in love with the vanilla smell coming from my vanilla candle, bought few months ago from IKEA.. I was totally forgot about it until I opened my rarely-opened-wardrobe

 Yup..that’s all.. nothing important.. That are the stuffs which fulfilling my flat life lately..In summary,, I’m simply grateful with who-ever I am and whatever I have right now,.. Thank God for Your super great love for me…

Solo Travelling – Langkawi

Hiyaa…musim batuk flu dan demam dimana2.. imbas dari hujan setiap hari yg meliputi berbagai belahan Jakarta dan Indonesia..hehe.. Dan gw salah satu korbannya, dari tadi bersin2 terus ni..huhuhu.. Anyway, I still love the rain.. Adem aja rasanya kalau lagi hujan.. And I love to walk under the rain without using any umbrella.. I feel really grateful doing that..

But.. this post is not gonna talk about the rain..hehe,, Kali ini, gw mau membahas pengalaman gw solo travelling and backpacking to Langkawi!!

Umm.. gw tau pasti banyak diantara pembaca semua yg ga tau dimana Langkawi berada.. (tsaah..berasa banyak aja bir pembaca blog lo..hihi).. Tenang..gw juga baru tau Langkawi itu beberapa minggu sebelum trip gw ke Kuala Lumpur.. Jadi ceritanya kemaren gw ada training di Kuala Lumpur.. dan gw sebagai orang yang aji mumpung, ga mau melewatkan untuk extend dan lanjut berlibur ke daerah sekitar KL.. maklum..cuti masi supeer banyaaak..hehe.. Waktu itu sempet mau ngajakin trip-mate gw yg temen sekantor, but it seems that he prefers to be back to Indonesia ASAP, since he can’t wait to meet his girlfriend.. hayaah..so sweet..hihihi.. Alhasil, gw melakukan a little sweet research untuk rencana solo travelling gw.. ada beberapa daerah yg sempet jadi kandidat, yakni Singapore, Phuket, Bangkok dan yang terakhir Langkawi.. Tapi berhubung gw ga bisa re-route flight KL-JKT jadi SIN-JKT, akhirnya opsi Singapore down!! Phuket dan Bangkok sebenernya sangat tempting, tapi gw ga yakin klo gw bakal melakukan perjalanan sendiri sejauh itu..hihi.. Yup, I’m not that brave yet.. Sejauh2nya gw jalan ampe keluar benua masih berdua ama temen kantor..dan itu aja dah lumayan garing.. (yep.. trip mate juga salah satu faktor utama penentu keasikan perjalanan lo..hehe) Nah, dengan begitu, tinggal satu lagi jadi pilihan gw, yakni LANGKAWI!!

Langkawi adalah bagian dari negara Malaysia yang terletak di Semenanjung Malaka.. It’s probably just like their “Bali”. Well..overall.. I don’t think Langkawi is that nice compare to our famous BALI ISLAND or LOMBOK ISLAND! Never been to Bali actually, only have ever been to Lombok..  Yaa. Dibanding dengan Lombok, menurut gw sama aja kerennya.. Cuma, mereka punya tour package yg okee punya… semuanya well organize.. and it’s really easy to get info about this island.. I call it as a Tourist-friendly-Island..hehe.. I give some of my shot here … Apologize for the poor picture quality.. It was taken with my beloved pocket camera bought from my 1st salary!!ahahaha..

Untuk post kali ini,  gw mau share beberapa tips tentang solo travelling untuk kamu para newbie juga seperti gw:

• Do a sweet little research about your destination

Ini penting banget biar kamu ga GET LOST di sana.. well.. get lost with your besties will not be that bad compare to being lost all alone.. That will be a lot WORSE.. yup..apalagi klo ini pertama kalinya kamu ngunjungin tempat itu dan culture-nya mungkin beda dengan tempat asal kamu.. Banyak banget source-nya..you just need to type the destination in Google, and voila.. Everything’s there!! My fave are TripAdvisor and Hostelbookers.. Tripadvisor forum is the best.. you can ask anything about your destination, and the members will be very pleased to answer your question.. It’s great.. Gw dapet info tentang where to go, which tour package is the best, how many days should I spend there, where to stay, where to eat semuanya dari sana..  worth trying lah pokoknya..

• Belajarnya naik motor or at least sepeda!!

Yup..berhubung kamu sendiri, motor adalah pilihan paling efisien untuk solo vacation kamu,. And unfortunately, gw ga bisaaa bawa motor!!hiks.. untung masi bisa naik sepeda, walopun masi perlu goes2 dulu awalnya..ahaha.. [dan panik klo bersisian dengan mobil ato bule ganteng..ahaahha].. dan untuk remote places, kayanya public transport or taxi bukan pilihan yang tepat deh.. taxi biasanya mahaaaal, apalagi untuk turis asing dan public transport jarang2 ada..

• Get along with everyone you meet during your trip

Menurut gw ini adalah intisari dari solo vacation gw.. It was super fun to know something new from a really new people.. Gw mencoba untuk ngobrol mulai dari si pemilik hostel tempat gw nginep (hostel ini rekomendasi dari salah satu member di tripadvisor..and he was right about this cozy little place), sesama travellers / backpackers, sesama peserta tour, dengan tour guide, dengan si penyedia tour, dengan si empunya rumah makan, pokoknya everyone nice that you meet lah.. remember, by being nice to people, they will also be nice to us..hehe.. Jadi, selama solo vacation lo, jauh2in deh tuh muka dari kesan jutek.. Karena lo ga kenal siapa2 lagi disana selain orang2 yg lo temuin selama trip lo itu..hehehe

• Untuk trip ke luar negeri, ENGLISH is a must!! And even better if you can speak other language, they will appreciate you more!!

Yup.. di negara manapun lo berlibur, pasti bahasa dengan turisnya bakalan english!! (well ini sotoy siy).. Selama nite time di hostel tempat gw nginep, gw sempet ngobrol ngalor ngidul dengan beberapa traveller dari beberapa negara.. Ada orang Jerman yg ternyata udah stay di sana for months dan udah keliling Asia Tenggara and rarely back to his home town.. He even declared that he hates Germany..ahahaa.. and his english is way to good.. Gw pikir dia orang Amerika.. ada juga traveller  yg mau mecahin rekornya untuk menelusuri 30 negara.. And one think is that they’re working there!! Salut banget dengan semangatnya untuk menjelajah dunia dan mempelajari berbagai budaya.. I also had a chat with Japanesse girl.. And fortunately, gw pernah belajar bahasa jepang (walo dikiit banget..bneran dikiit banget..ampe sekarang gw Cuma inget kalimat perkenalannya doank..hehe). Gw sok2 an deh praktekin bahasa jepang kacrut gw itu ke dia, and she was impressed!! Trus ngobrol juga dengan kakek2 british yg bisa bahasa perancis.. i told him that I also had ever learn french, and he practiced it to me.. dan Alhamdulillah gw ngerti dikit2.hehe.. And again, he was impressed.. Yup.. memiliki kemampuan english dan bahasa yg lain di tengah2 turis asing dari berbagai negara bisa ningkatin respect mereka lho ama kita.. hehehe.. Well… that is my opinion.. Silakan klo ada yg punya pendapat lain..

Nah itulah beberapa tips tentang solo travelling dari gw.. Well..sepertinya post ini udah kepanjangan.. Hmm.. gw tutup dengan beberapa must visit places in Langkawi deh yaa. Here they are:

1. Snorkeling at Payar Island
2. Island Hopping (ada beberapa paket siy untuk island hopping ini, tergantung minat lo lebih kemana..hehe)
3. Pantai Cenang
4. Sky Bridge

Nah yg ini A MUST banget.. you’ll feel like you are in the top of the world.. I really amazed with Malaysian Government.. They can manage this place well.. I think Bali, Lombok, or other places in Indonesia will be a lot better if we can manage it better..

Yupp..sekian deh post kali ini.. I can’t wait to tell you about my next trip.. 2 weeks to go!! Can’t wait!! Really..

Cimory Yoghurt!! Love it..

Recently, I’m addicted to Cimory yoghurt.. just can’t let one day pass without one bottle of it.. My fave is the Red Grape!! You should really try it.. Well.. I really think that the taste is just perfect.. not too sour.. not to sweet.. just at the right portion..

In my opinion, it’s even better than the fancy yoghurt products.. But I’m a bit dissapointed with the only shop which sells this Cimory yoghurt in my office.. Their price is too expensive compare to Carrefour’s price..huhuhu..

Anyway.. have a pleasant day everybody!!!

I’m currently deeply in love with this song, The Who Can’t be Moved by The Script..  I first heard this song from radio and love it at the first heard!!..hehe,, (instead of love at the first sight)… At first I wasn’t aware of the lyrics, I just enjoyed the rhythm… hmm.. agak2 cape pake bahasa inggris..gmana klo lanjut pake bahasa ibu ajaa..hehehe..

Yup..pertama2 gw jatuh hati sama lagunya tanpa bner2 meratiin liriknya… Enak aja gtu.. mengingatkan gw dengan lagu2nya Snow Patrol.. Lalu usut punya usut ternyata The Script itu adalah band asal British,. No wonder lah.. I always love British’s bands..hehe..(tapi Snow Patrol bukan British kan ya klo ga salah).. sotoy sebenernya..secara gw bukan tipikal yang paham band mana asalnya darimana trus lagunya apa aja.. I just simply love songs which I think nice.. I’m not a kind of person who love specifically a type of music.. Pop hayuuk.. beat disco hayuukk.. Metal hayuukk…R&B hayuuk.. cuma dangdut yg gw ga paham..ahahaaha.. Eh koq jadi ngelantur ngomongin musik kesukaan siy.. Okay, let’s back to the topic..

Blazer for 2010??

Helloo you guys the fashion conscious..

A new year is always related to new trend in fashion.. what about this year???  Let’s see..

I’ve been doing a little research within google and I found a nice web complete with the runway pictures from enormous amount of world’s fashion designers..You can easily find your favorite designers here.. Visit:www.fashionising.com

I ran through various pics of my favorite designers and picked some of the great design.. Well again, great design is really relative.. It depends on your taste.. Well for me, I prefer simple line, more to masculine, and also elegant.. Based on that “little research”, I can tell you that  grey is still ON, black and white is more dominating, red and yellow is coming while purple is OFF!! Yeah.. for you guys who have many purple collection in your wardrobe, better be prepared for adding new collection..hahaha. There’s even a joke among my friends in the office that we are only allowed to wear purple up to quarter 1.. lol..  Yes, I’m a bit agree with this since we’ve been  saturated with purple all around through year 2009..:)

Another thing about fashion in 2010 is that most of it is simple, with V neck and straight cut.. oh yaa.. skinny fit and straight cut trousers and jeans are still ON this year.. And I think it will last longer because it makes the user looks slimmer and taller.. don’t you think so??  And how about super micro mini skirt??  From that little search, I think it’s going to be OFF this year, replaced with a straight line – over the knees skirt,, I like it though.. More elegant and not cheapo as the micro mini skirt.. And blazer is going to be more hip this year.. Enough about the summary, let’s go through the pictures… Hope you’ll enjoy it..

Hummm.. due to a very bad internet connection in my home (blame it to XL!!! aarrgh…) I can only upload 3 pictures from CK because it took years to upload more pictures.. I actually browsed lotsa pictures from Carolina Herrera, Alexander Wang, DKNY, Marc Jacobs and Prada.. You can look at the link I gave you to check out their complete pictures..

Most of the items from Calvin Klein are in black, grey and white .. I don’t know whether it is because autumn collection or it’s a true 2010 trend! However, black and white is always ON, no matter what the occasion is..

What do you think guys? They’re superb, aren’t they???!! I really love the first one!! It seems that the trend of blazer, that started from 2009, continues to 2010 and is getting more hip!! I think I need to add my blazer collection.. hehe.. But blazer these days is no longer used only for formal occasion.. we can use it casually with jeans just for hanging out with friends, or a day to day working in the office or even for a party.. It’s just the way how we mix and match it..And one more thing, blazer is no longer identical with a shoulder pad and thick kind of fabric.. We can modify it with our own taste.. They’re even a blazer made from a cotton shirt fabric (just like for your t-shirt).. Just like the second one, a loose kind of white blazer combined with a white dress,. Just PERFECT!! It can be your reference for a lunch party,, And the last picture shows a  black loose dress with nice detail and cut… It is simple and cute.. I love it..

Well instead of giving a full article about fashion 2010, I think I’m gonna give you a few tips about ‘how to mix and match blazer’ hehe.. [I'm acting as if I'm an expert on this..ahaha]

• Mix a one-tone-color-blazer with an A-line dress with a loose cut.. It will be perfect!! You could choose a short type  blazer and it’s okay to use a shoulder-pad one.. I’ve once tried to mix a black casual blazer with a batik dress, for a wedding party… Traditional, formal and elegant in the same time..
• Mix a loose-fabric-blazer which length is a bit before the knees with a short skirt (which shorter than the blazer) and combine with tank top inside.. you could add a long ethnic necklace over the blazer.. Plus a leather boots!! It’s gonna be cool!! Don’t forget to wear a fedora during a bright shiny day.. hehe
• Forget about an oversize blazer.. I don’t think it’s cool.. Use the one with a fit cut especially for your arm.. unless if you want people think that you’re wearing your boyfriend’s..hehe..
• For a casual occasion, you could use a cotton blazer with a T-shirt full of printed pictures inside + a straight cut jeans.. And also, fold up the sleeves for an additional accent.. Sneakers like converse will also cool with it..

I that’s all I can tell you right now.. I’m a bit running out of idea.. I’m sorry for the incomplete review.. We’ll try a better one next time..   So guys, what do you think?? Comment?? Pro or Cons?? Can’t wait to hear from you guys..

Hello world!!

It’s a very nice to meet you all guys agaiin!! I even can’t remember when was the last time I wrote here..hehe.. Well it doesn’t mean that I’m that busy or sort of thing like that.. It’s just because I am so tired and lazy for writing.. No inspirations came up!! Well..there was actually, but no willingness to write it down in this blog..hehehe.. And now..even I don’t have what is so called as an interesting topic,  but at least it is going to be a starter.. Yeaa,,instead of opening another account of blog page, I’d rather use this existing blog..

Okay..what is my today’s topic? Is anybody curious about it?!! hahaa.. (ga penting..:p).. Here it is:

MY FOREVER WEDDING DREAM

Yeaah..interesting, isn’t it?!!hehe..

I believe that everybody has their own wedding dreams.. there is someone who wants just a ordinary one with a traditional way or maybe a very luxurious wedding party or just what so called as “nikah di KUA” or even in VEgas??hahaa.. But I believe that most of us want something different.. something that worth to be remembered for a life time.. So do I!!

But wait..before I get started,  I want to say that this topic is not chosen because I want to get married or sort of things like that.. It’s just because there were friends of mine who have been married in the last couple of months!! How dare they did that to me while I myself don’t have even a boyfriend?!!hahaa.. (O..O..ada yg curcol.. :p)

 

Okay..back to the topic..

My first Working Experience

Yup..setelah postingan sebelumnya yang menjelaskan ttg bagaimana perjuangan gw untuk lulus, sekarang gw mau cerita-cerita tentang pengalaman kerja pertama gw!!

Only 1 days after the graduation announcement, mbak2 HR di tempat gw diterima kerja bilang ato tepatnya nanya :

” Klo misalnya kamu kerja hari Selasa depan gimana? Tgl 1 July..” dan gw yang aga shock langsung bilang,.,. “Hmm..bisa siy Bu… tpi saya masih harus ngurus pendaftaran wisuda dulu di Bandung..” dan mbaknya bilang “Oke gpp.. Ntar hari selasa aja kamu ke kantor untuk sign contract sekaligus first day kamu”

Weee.. gilee…baru bernapas bntar setelah pengumuman kompre dan sedikit euphoria..tiba2 gw dah diminta masuk kerja.. Langsung deh ribet.. nyiapin2 dokumen2 yang harus dilengkapin.. dan tentunya nyiapin kemeja2 kerja..secara gw jarang bgt tuh punya kemeja..hehe..

Lalu.. Hari Selasa, 1 Juli 2008.. Jam 07.30 am, gw sampe di kantor gw, di RP2.. Nyampe barengan dengan bapak2, ibu2, mas2 dan mbak2 yang dah duluan jadi karyawan.. Mereka2 yang tampang dan penampilannya keren2.. dan seketika gw merasa cupu bgt..hahhaahahaha… 

Trus2..gw dikenalin sama supervisor gw, Pak M. Pak M adalah orang Pakistan yang tidak lain adalah salah satu user yang menginterview gw saat proses seleksi.. Orangnya baik n welcome bgt deh,, Eventhough gw kadang2 loading dulu klo dia ngomong,,secara english mulu dan kemampuan gw jg pas-pasan.. Dia ngajak gw berkeliling di departemen gw n ngenalin ke orang2 yang tergabung di grupnya,,. Trus dya ngasi brief description ttg apa-apa yang bakal gw hadapin selama 5 tahun masa training GRAD ini…

Surprisingly, pas lunchtime dya bilang mau traktir gw bersama anggota grupnya yang lain.. Wuih..senenglah gw tentunya.. berhubung anak baru trus langsung ditraktir!! Hoki gilaa.. mana mental masih mental mahasiswa lagi.. pastinya ga mungkin nolak ama sesuatu yang berbau gratisan!! apalagi makan gratis!!hahahhaa.. Kata Pak M, dya pgn gw lebih dekat dengan anggota grupnya yang lain.. Yang ternyata  setelah dikenalin, ada beberapa yang senior2 gw jg pas di TK ITB dulu.. Baik2 bgt orangnya.. semuanya welcome.. Setelah semuanya ngumpul, kita langsung cabcus ke Citos, mall yang paling deket ama kantor.. Ditraktir di Izzi Pizza n boleh mesen seenak jidat.. Enak ternyata klo punya SPV expatriate..hahaha.. Obrolan siang itu pun berlangsung cukup santai.. dengan bahasa inggris gw yang babibu begini..hehe..

Next days..

Finally.. Gw LULUS!!!

Hyaaaa… Uda lamaaaaa bgt rasanya gw ga ngepost yaa!!!

Dan sekali2nya gw ngepost niyh..status gw dah berubah lho!! I’m no longer a university student!!!wuehehehe..

Mari kita review perjalanan gw sekitar sebulan ini..

Sekitar awal juni kemaren, gw bersama partner penelitian gw tercinta Ertanto Vetra a.k.a TOGEL melangsungkan suatu presentasi yang disebut SEMINAR PENELITIAN.  Yup…dalam seminar itu, kami berdua mempresentasikan apa2 aja hasil yang berhasil kami dapetin selama setahun penelitian.. Itu lho penelitian yang berjudul:

“Sintesis dan Uji Aktivitas Katalis berbasis Ni-Sn untuk konversi Gliserol produk samping dari produksi biodiesel menjadi hidrogen”

Satu resolusi ku tahun ini tercapai.. Alhamdulillah.. :)

Masih inget dengan salah satu resolusi gw awal tahun ini??

3. Seeking for good Job and (offcourse) getting a good.. Schlumberger, McKinsey, BCG, Total..Here I come.. hehe.. Yaaa…a little sweet dreams ga papa kan?!! Jadi micu semangat loh!!

7. Dapet gaji pertama di bulan September 2008!! hahaha.. Rada ngarep emg!!wakakak.. At least pas lebaran gw uda bisa beliin baju buat ade n spupu2 pake duit sendiri.. hehe..

Yaaa…Alhamdulillah bgt..ternyata usaha gw seeking for good job membuahkan hasil yg menyenangkan.. Okay…mari kita review usaha gw mencari kerja sejak awal tahun ini :
